The Financial Manager will provide financial support and management for the international project Belarus Beehive “Supporting civil society as a key driver of democratic transformation of Belarus”, ensuring compliance with applicable financial procedures and monitoring project expenditures.

As the project approaches completion, the role will focus particularly on financial monitoring, final payments, financial reporting, project closure, and preparation for expenditure verification, including financial aspects related to re-granting activities.

Key responsibilities

  1. Provide financial support to the activities for which the partner organization is responsible, including tasks related to re-granting.

  2. Monitor project expenditures and cash flows and ensure sufficient financial resources for the remaining project activities and obligations.

  3. Ensure compliance of project expenditures and procurement documentation with applicable EU and PRAG requirements.

  4. Ensure timely and accurate preparation and execution of payments to external contractors, subgrantees, staff, and service providers.

  5. Collaborate with the Senior Grant Manager on financial aspects of subgrant contracts, payments, reporting, and supporting documentation.

  6. Review financial reports and supporting documentation submitted by project subgrantees.

  7. Prepare financial documentation for project expenditure verification and ensure that supporting documents are complete and properly organized.

  8. Support the preparation of the final financial report and financial closure of the project.

  9. Participate in coordination activities with the project team and project partners as required.

Required skills & experience

  • Higher education in a relevant field, with at least 5 years of experience in financial management and planning, preferably in the non-profit sector.

  • Proven experience with EU-funded projects and thorough knowledge of The Practical Guide to Contract Procedures for European Union External Actions (PRAG).

  • Experience with re-granting/subgranting schemes and financial monitoring of subgrantees is an advantage.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work with complex financial data.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Belarusian.

€1,600per month, gross amount, for a 50% workload
